Strawberry Dress

Hello again!   Here is a dress I made for my granddaughter Ruby. I love strawberries and just had to make a dress for her with one on it.
I absolutely love how it turned out!
I love the big strawberry. I drew the strawberry and leaves adhered wonder-under to the fabric fused it to the white fabric and then machine appliqued it on.                  Thanks for stopping by!

Patriotic Baby Dress and Matching Hat and Shoes

Good morning all! We have a bright sunny start to the day here, the weatherman said we will get close to 90 today! We had quite a storm last night. Thunder, lightning, and rain! Our plants are loving this weather!       Well, here is a little dress and hat I made for my granddaughter Ruby. It is her 4th of July outfit. I just love the darling dress and hat pattern. The little dress is made from a recycled sheet! I had it in the closet, wasn't using it and it was in great condition, why not use it, right!  I actually found the pattern at a yard sale as well as the darling shoes! They cost me a whole quarter! I am working on another out fit, I have finished the dress and am getting ready to sew the hat. I also have some more I am planning to make.

 Isn't it just the cutest!!!
The sheet worked great! It's soft, and washes beautifully.
 Cute, cute, cute!
here is a close up of the hat.
Just look at these darling shoes, a quarter!!!!!
Cuteness overload!!!   Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

2 Creative Chicks Challenge #28 "Anything Goes" Mid Posting

Good Morning Everyone!

It's time for another challenge over at 2 Creative Chicks
Where the challenges are always"Anything Goes" but a card.

Here is a little outfit I made for or new baby granddaughter. She has not arrived yet, but is due as I write.

My daughter Amy is not a fan of pink but, I love pink ( and so do little girls).  My Mom (Mamaw to the grandkids) who is in Heaven always loved ice cream pink on little girls and babies.

I made this little ice cream pink set in honor of my Mom. I wrote a special note to Amy and explained why and told her it was from her Mamaw and me.  I modified the pattern because I wanted pleats in the bodice and skirt. I also hand embroidered on the front of the bodice , the sleeves, the bonnet, and the shoes. I made the little ribbon flowers with pearl buttons on the sides of the bonnet. I added little seed pearls to the centers of the embroidered flowers. I also made the bonnet stand.  It was very difficult to get good photos. I hope you are able to see the detail.

Recipe:
Patterns, fabric, thread, embroidery thread,  needle, seed pearls, pearl buttons, satin ribbon, buttons for back of dress, lace, interfacing,. Bonnet Stand- wooden stand, paint, glue, styrofoam ball, tulle netting, satin ribbon, silk flower.

Onto the challenge info.
Challenge #28 Anything Goes" (no cards)

Ends: July 31
