Giraffe Birthday Card and Pillowcases

Hello everyone, I hope you all are well.      I have been missing for a while because I have been working on some sewing projects for my Dad and my Grand-daughter Ruby.   Ruby and her Mom and Dad are coming for a visit soon so I am busy preparing for them.
For my regular followers, you know I have told you how my Dad likes to go to the zoo to see the giraffes and feed them.  I decided to make a set of giraffe pillowcases for his 94th birthday. I didn't know what to get him (he has all the clothes he needs and doesn't need anything). I gave him an set of sheets a few Christmas' ago and he just loved them so I thought what would be better than some new pillowcases.   I made a matching giraffe birthday card for him too.
Here is the birthday boy feeding the giraffe.
I won the cutest digi stamp set from Imagine That Digistamp.
Isn't it adorable! It is called Giraffe with Butterflies.
I added a punched butterfly by the sentiment.
I just love this darling giraffe. It came uncolored and colored. I chose the colored image to save some time.
And here are the pillowcases. I pressed and folded them neatly and tied a nice ribbon around them.
Aren't they cute.
I love how they turned out!
Here is one of the pillowcases partially unfolded so you can see the fabric.   It is very hard to take photos of pillowcases!
Well thank you all for stopping by and I hope you have a great evening!

  1. Pam, so glad to know that you've been busy and not away for some other reasons. What a great project. 94! That's so awesome. We have Tom's dad still with us and he's 87 and going strong. And how fun that he loves giraffes. Your pillowcase cases are such fun. I know he'll love them and the card is a perfect match. Thanks for playing along at the Creative Playground this month. The card design is so gorgeous! Have a wonderful day!
