Sea Theamed Table Runner with Sea Turtles

Hello. I hope everyone is well. I wanted to share with you a table runner that I made for my daughter. It is a gift for her for Christmas.

The fabrics that I used looks like the waves washing up on the sand.

The white rick rack represent the foam as the waves wash up on the sand. I quilted it with wavy lines that are left after waves have washed away. I appliqued the turtles on cut from some fabric that I have.

I love how it turned out and I think that she will really like it.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Nativity Scene Wall Hanging

Hello all and Happy New Year! I was busy as a bee sewing for Christmas and here is one of the items that I made. Actually I made four. I made it from a couple of patterns that I purchased from Burlap and Blossoms on Etsy. I made each quilt block and then connected them together then I added a beautiful crystal button to the star.     Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Sea Turtle Beach Bag

Good morning everyone! I hope you all are having a nice morning. It is pouring down rain and dark and gloomy here.    I'm here to share a beach bag with you that I made for my daughter Amy's birthday. Amy is a Band Director and when school is out she volunteers taking people on sea turtle walks every week (she lives in Florida).  I wanted to make a special beach bag just for her with a sea turtle theme.

This is the front of the bag. I love the beautiful sea print fabrics. I hand stitched on the sea turtles.

This is the back of the bag.

Here is a closer look of the fabric prints. Mama turtle is swimming with babies following.

There are three baby turtles following Mama turtle. I wanted them to wrap around the side from back to front.                     I hope you enjoyed seeing the sea turtle beach bag. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Strawberry Jam 12x12 Mini Quilt

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a nice day!  It has been raining on and off here so I've been doing laundry and some sewing.           I wanted to share this "mini quilt" that I just finished.

I love it!!!  I am decorating my kitchen with strawberries for Spring and Summer.  I believe I will hang it from the fireplace in the kitchen with some more strawberry decor on the mantle.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great rest of your day!

Second Bonita Bunny Mini Quilt

Hello everyone!    I am here with another Bonita Bunny mini quilt.  This one I am keeping. I made her in different colors than the last one (which I sent to my daughter in Florida). I am having so much fun sewing them!  I just finished Chester Chicken today.     Hopefully I can start some Easter cards soon.
I just LOVE This little bunny!!! She was fairly easy to sew.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a great evening!

Saturday, February 18, 2023

Good morning everyone! I hope you all are well!  It has been a while since I posted.   I had another major surgery four days after Thanksgiving. I had to have hernia surgery because of my weakened stomach from the cancer surgery. I put it off for a long time, but it got to the point it was necessary. It was supposed to be a simple surgery that would take 1 hour and then go home that day or the next. It turned into a 4-hour surgery (same as the cancer surgery) and 6 days in the hospital. My surgeon said I had 8 hernias and that it looked like Swiss cheese.  It was 6 weeks of recovery. I wasn't able to do anything!  No lifting, no housework, nothing remotely strenuous. I am so happy the surgery is over, but it was a very hard time.   I'm back to doing my normal activities now.
I spent a lot of time on Pinterest and YouTube and have learned a new craft to me. Foundation Paper Piecing quilting. I wanted to share a photo of my very first project.
The pattern is called Bonita Bunny and she is a free pattern. I just LOVE how she turned out!!! You can also make it a boy bunny by placing the bow at the bottom. I sent this one to my daughter in Florida and am in the process of making one for me but in different fabric colors. It is just a mini quilt to hang or sit up at Easter.
Thank you for stopping buy and have a wonderful day!
