Perfume Bottle Birthday Card

Hello everyone, I hope your having a nice day!    I've been busy working on another birthday card for a friend.
When I found this stamp set I thought is was so beautiful! The flowers are gorgeous and the perfume bottle is just so pretty. My Mom's favorite cologn was Chanel No. 5  so I loved that it had that! The friend that I made this for loved my Mom and my Mom loved her.    I heat embossed The purfume bottle and flowers then I used watercolors and a waterbrush pen to color them in. I stamped the Chanel No. 5. I used A Stampin' Up corner punch for the white and pink layers. I used a beautiful pink floral cardstock on top of the pink card base. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment and cut it out with a stitched oval die then attached it to the front. I added a few clear gems to the front of the card as well.
Here is the inside of the card. I used sentiments from the stamp set.     I think it turned out beautiful and I love how the embossing and watercolors look together!
I hope you enjoyed seeing my card! I hope you have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Bee-Day Birthday Card

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well today! I just finished doing 80 minutes on my recumbent bike. I do 80 minutes 3 days a week and 60 minutes 2 days a week and take the weekend off.        It is kind of cloudy out today and I think it is going to rain.
I am posting a cute birthday card I made using an adorable stamp set that I purchased on-line.
The stamp set is adorable! It has 4 or 5 little bees, the dandelion, strawberries, sentiments, I can't remember what else.
The flowers embossing folder is one I purchased at Tuesday Morning and I just love it!
I water colored the background and used my Spectrum Noir markers on the bee and flower. I used my thin line black marker to draw around the sentiment banner and added a black gem. I also used my sparkle glitter pen for the bees wings and a little on the flower.        I hope you enjoyed seeing my card!  Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Tea Bag Art

Hello everyone. I hope you are well.  I want to thank those of you who left such heartfelt comments about my Dad. It really meant so much to me during this very difficult time.
I finally felt a little like crafting. I have spent a lot of time looking at Pinterest and saw some very interesting crafts. One was tea bag art. Since I love tea and am an avid tea drinker I had plenty of tea bags to use.
I really love how turned out! I mounted my tea bag art piece on some handmade paper that has botanical pieces embedded in it ( no, I did not make the paper, it is some I have had for a while). Sorry about the tiny light flash on the flower, it is hard to take a photo when there is glass.
Here is an up close photo of my art piece. I wanted the jagged edges and ink distressed around them. I used a daisy stamp that I have and used water colors to paint it. I used fine tip ink markers in black and white for the dots and I hand stitched the french knots in the center of the daisy and stitched around the insides edge of the tea bag. I am very happy with how it turned out and plan to do more.

Autumn Watercolor Card

Good evening everyone!   I've been busy with more cards. Soon I have to get started on some sewing projects.    Here is a card I made using a watercolor painting that I did.  I really love it and would like to do more cards like this. I hope like it.
Don't you just love the Autumn colors!
I took dried weeds and grasses and placed them on watercolor paper, then I dropped my watercolor paint over them and let it dry. When it was dry I removed the weeds and grasses.
 I love this technique.
Here is an up close photo. You can see little seed bits.
Here is the inside of my card.          Thank you for stopping by  and have a good evening!

Watercolor Watermelon Thank You Card

Hello everyone! Another HOT day here, whew, when its this hot I love watermelon! Sweet, juicy, cold watermelon. Well, I made a card today with a watermelon on it. I got out my watercolors (I have some that are pearlized so that's what I used) and painted a juicy watermelon slice. I love playing with watercolors ans I really like how it turned out!
 Doesn't this look tasty!
I love how the pearlized watercolors look!
It looks nice and frosty cold. I used this great embossing folder too.
Here is a close up of my watercolor watermelon slice. I decided to use tiny pearls for the seeds.
Here is the inside of my card.      Thanks for stopping by and stay cool! Don't you want a nice cold slice of watermelon?

Little Yellow Spring Bird

Here is a sweet bird image that I watercolored. I thought she was deserving of a fancy little frame.
Isn't she sweet? Actually "she is probably a he. Aren't the male birds the colorful ones?

A Little Painting I Did.

Here is a little painting I did. I was inspired by Sandy Setliff. Sandy does beautiful artwork and I just had to try it for myself. You should go over and check out her blog, The Hills of North Carolina, it's awesome!
Thank you for the inspiration Sandy, (I've done three more)!

I just love the sweet sentiment. "The flower doesn't dream of the bee, it blossoms, and the bee comes to it."
Of course after I finished it, I realized doesn't was spelled wrong. Oh well I will just have to do another one. That's what I get for finding a sentiment on the web and writing it the way I saw it. I had it in a frame but the light made a glare when I took the photo so I had to take it out of the frame.
I love all the curly q's.
Here is a close up of the sparkly bee wings..
I hope you enjoyed looking at my little painting.
