Snowman Table Mat for a Round Table

Hello again! I am here to share this adorable table mat that I made for one of my daughters for Christmas. It was surprisingly easy to make and I think I will make some for other holidays. Picture pumpkins, turkeys, Easter bunnies etc.,. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

I think that it turned out adorable!

Here is a closeup of the snowman.

I found this fabric with the saying "let it snow" all over it. I cut out strips so that ai had it all around the table mat.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my table mat. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Patriotic Banner

Hello everyone, I hope you have had a nice day. I did some much needed organizing in the kitchen.     I had a request from my youngest daughter for a patriotic banner.

I made it in the Fall and had my mantel decorated for Fall but had to hang the banner to get a photo.  I really like how it turned out. Simple but festive. I think the fabrics are so pretty and like the buttons. It is adjustable so she can spread them more apart if needed.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the banner.   Thank you for stopping by and have a great evening!

Child's Nightgown made from a Vintage Sheet

Hello everyone, I hope your day is going well.  It's nice here today, I could even let my two kitties go out on the screened in back porch. They sure were happy! I got the rest of my Christmas grocery shopping done with the exception of some cinnamon rolls.    I wanted to share a sweet little nightgown that I made for my 8 year old granddaughter.

I made it using a pretty vintage sheet! It's so soft.

I used the perfect shade of ribbon to match the pink flowers.

I love the beautiful delicate cotton lace.   I am very happy with how it turned out AND have plenty of sheet left for more projects!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great rest of your day!

Cute Purse for my Grand-daughter

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a nice day.  It's beautiful her but chilly after rain and fog all day yesterday.           I wanted to share a cute purse that I made for my grand-daughter for Christmas.

Isn't it cute! I love the fabrics that I chose. The little kitties are so cute. My grand-daughter is 8 years old and loves cats  so I think she will love it.

Here is the inside. It has the main pocket and the little front pocket. I added a few surprises to the inside for her. I added a tag on the inside that says Created by Granny 2023.

I hope that you enjoyed seeing the purse. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day.

Poinsettia Table Runner

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a nice day. It is raining and cold here where I live.    I wanted to share a photo of a poinsettia table runner that I made for a gift. I actually made 2 and have 2 in the process of making.

Sorry for the waves in it. I had it folded up and ready to wrap when I realized I had not taken a photo of it. I think it turned out beautiful and I can't believe that I accidentally found the perfect color trim! Believe me the photo does not do it justice.  I purchased the poinsettia fabric at Hobby Lobby for half price. We went to the Fancy Gap Fabric Outlet and I found the accent fabric and the trim. It all came together perfectly.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Santa Banner Mini Quilt

Hello everyone.   I haven't posted for a while because I have been so busy creating projects and decorating and baking for Christmas.     I have done a lot of sewing!   Here is one of the projects that I made.

Here is my Santa banner mini quilt. I actually made 5 of them. I used cute red dot and green check fabrics and black and white dot fabrics to coordinate with the Santa fabric. The bottom has a large jingle bell and red bow.

I love this vintage look Santa fabric holding a cookie!  I have used the same Santa fabric to make pillowcases as well. The background is a white on white swirl.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great evening!

Ruby's Pencil Pouch

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a nice day! I have been sewing all day.  My little granddaughter Ruby is starting 2nd grade next week and I wanted to make something special for her.

I made this adorable pencil pouch!   It has a boxy bottom so it will stand up and has lots of room.

I did the patchwork, added the little girl patch and the 3 gingham squares with added buttons (the middle square has a heart button).

The top of the pouch has rick rack on the edge of the patchwork. There is a zipper closure with a sweet little strawberry charm.

The inside is lined with red and white gingham check and has a little tag that says created by Granny.

I LOVE how this little pencil pouch turned out!                  Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Sea Turtle Beach Bag

Good morning everyone! I hope you all are having a nice morning. It is pouring down rain and dark and gloomy here.    I'm here to share a beach bag with you that I made for my daughter Amy's birthday. Amy is a Band Director and when school is out she volunteers taking people on sea turtle walks every week (she lives in Florida).  I wanted to make a special beach bag just for her with a sea turtle theme.

This is the front of the bag. I love the beautiful sea print fabrics. I hand stitched on the sea turtles.

This is the back of the bag.

Here is a closer look of the fabric prints. Mama turtle is swimming with babies following.

There are three baby turtles following Mama turtle. I wanted them to wrap around the side from back to front.                     I hope you enjoyed seeing the sea turtle beach bag. Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Pastel Easter Basket Block

Hello everyone!  I'm here to share a quilted Easter basket block mini quilt. It was my first one that was actually quilted (my others have been foundation paper pieced). I followed a woman on YouTube for the binding and had a little trouble. But that's okay. I may take a piece of green rick rack and put across the bottom at the top of the binding to camouflage the boo boo. I'll work it out. The second one that I did, I did the binding opposite of this one and it came out perfect. I'm going to be starting a cute flower pot with flowers quilt block. But I guess I should make my Easter cards first LOL.

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!

Cute Halloween Felt Ghost (and I made the pattern myself)

Look what I created today! An UNSTUFFED ghost! My daughter Amy asked me a few weeks ago if I could make a cute felt ghost that she saw in a home decorateing store. She took a photo of the one in the store and sent it to me. I put it off for weeks unshure how to go about making it. Well today I sat down at my crafting table grabbed a pencil and paper and drew out my own pattern! I had a witch hat pattern already so I just had to create the ghost and banner. I am so proud of myself for designing my own pattern and all the pieces fit together perfectly! Some felt, twine, ribbon, buttons, my sewing maschine, some glue and MY PATTERN and WA LA a cute ghostie! With the hat on it is about 18 inches high. Amy wanted me to leave it unstuffed to mail and when she receives it she will stuff it and hand sew a 3 inch opening. Please excuse my messy craft table, I've been creating!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great evening!
